|I've never really liked buying new shoes. I only wear one pair, so I get so used to those shoes. Anything else feels weird and looks even weirder. I've never been very fashion-sensible, so I worry that I'll get something that looks funny. I actually got quite a lot of compliments with this last pair, but they're starting to wear a hole in the back where my heel must rub more than I realize. I think it's almost been a year since I bought shoes anyway, so it's about time.
My first priority was that I wanted something leather so that it would be water resistant. In case you hadn't hear, Seattle gets a fair amount of rain, so I didn't want something that water would seep through any time I stepped in a puddle. I was surprised looking at the selection at Big 5 that most of them seemed like they had fabric portions. Wouldn't water resistance be important for other people as well? I guess that most people must wear boots when it rains or something like that.
