|Thank you for a wonderful evening.
Thank you Steve for playing such a huge role in setting things up. I am such a chicken that I probably never would have asked her out if you hadn't helped me get her number and everything. You're an qwesome friend (even if you like to ignore me when I'm talking to you). I obviously can't repay you by hooking you up with anybody, so it's a good thing you owed me one (two? three?) for whatever computer help. We are totally even, I am in your debt.
Thank you Mike McQuay for this music that I'm listening to now. This is crazy good fun music. But I digress.
Most of all, thanks goes to Lindsay for making this the best date I've been on in... well, years, I guess. It's rare to meet a girl so cute (such bright, clear, pretty eyes) and so fun to talk with that can actually enjoy herself in an arcade (or at least make a very convincing display of having fun).
We started with dinner. The original plan was to go to Steve's for dinner (he and V made stew). I confirmed at the last moment, though, that Lindsay is a vegetarian so quick replanning sent Lindsay and I to Fazoli's. (No offense to the McQuays' cooking- feel free to invite me for dinner any time you want.) Sometimes dinner of the first date can be really awkward. Not a problem this time. We have common friends and seem to have common interests and there was plenty to talk about.
There's more to read. Read the extended entry.
