    Mr Mayor,

I just got a call that was a recorded message of you saying that you're in support of Chris Cannon for re-election. I think it is annoying and tacky to use recorded messages in phone calls because that's something that is closely related to telemarketing in the minds of most voters. Worst of all, the number that was called was a work phone number. I got a similar call from Cannon's office (the recording was of his wife) and that call was the first that I heard of the controversy concerning the ads being broadcast by "Team America PAC."

This kind of advertising is demeaning and counterproductive- I was neutral towards Cannon before, but am now against him. If you're going to be placing phone calls to voters, please at least have the decency to have a person calling instead of a very impersonal machine recording.

    Sincerely,

    Jo-Pete Nelson
