|This is a little bit late in coming (about two weeks after school is over), but I survived through finals week. And everybody's going to call me paranoid for thinking I wouldn't do well in some of my classes this past semester, but personally I'm just shocked that I did so well on the final "report card." I got an A- in Heat Transfer! That and the A- in dance class are the only two classes I didn't get solid A's in. My GPA for the semester was a solid 3.92. Does this mean that I like school now? Not in the slightest. But since this is the best GPA I've gotten since my first semester freshman year, it shows that I am at least capable of doing well in a University setting.
I am now taking a break from life- working 20-25 hours a week and doing miscellanious projects that I've been putting off for forever. I don't have exact plans for what I'm going to do with my website in the next month or two, but I do want to give it a good overhaul. It might not change a whole lot, since I do like the current "feel" of it, but I will be looking at refactoring some code and adding new features, plus I have a *lot* of pictures to show.
Which brings me to the next project I'm committing myself to- I purchased JP-ix.com and will be using that domain to display and possibly sell some of my photos. I have not created a site for it yet, and I'm not sure what features will be included. I definitely want to make some kind of search capability, perhaps a flickr-esque tagging system, except that I want to allow the visitor to add their own tags. I'll keep you posted on progress there.
I'm in Arizona this weekend for mother's day, which was a nice chance for me to get rid of any urge for extensive roadtrips. Jacob and I were planning on driving across the country next month, but gas prices are completely unreasonable so that's not going to happen.
I'll try to follow this up with a couple more quick entries about specific topics I've been meaning to write about, but I am alive and doing well.
