    80's in music  echo $newRAM;

    Coreen was asking for music suggestions from the 80's. Once again, my reply to her grew to such gynormous lengths that I figured it'd be a pity to not include it on my *own* site. Now, let me preface this list by saying that I was not an "active" music listener until probably the mid-90's. This list is not going to necessarily be the best sellers of the time, but they're the ones that whenever I hear on the radio (and most of them are still played occasionally), I think "wow. I loved this song as a kid." The DJ's at WMIX (the best mix of the 60's, 70's, 80's [and now the 90's]) probably had a *huge* impact on what songs made it to this list.

    That said, I'd love to here input on this list, especially from my siblings. After all, they listened to and sang these songs with me. If somebody's wanting a more "organized" list rather than me just looking through each year's Billboard hits and picking out the songs I remember, let me know and maybe I'll throw a top twenty Jo-Pete's 80's memories list together. I ask for input, but you can rest assured that I'm not going to be adding 80's classics that I intentionally avoided. I never cared much for "Thriller," and it holds no memories for me. I'm not going to add it.

    I also think that I'm going to make an effort to get a copy of each song that makes it onto the list. Perhaps a few of these will be crossed off in the process (because they aren't what I thought they were). I'll mark each one that I have in italics

    That said, without further ado-

    There's more to read. Read the extended entry.
