    50 cent night  echo $newRAM;

    I would've gone to the movie anyway, but it was a bonus that it turned out to be 50 cent night at the movie theater. And I didn't end up paying a penny.

    I was restless, so I called Merry. I told her the movie started in ten minutes, but that we could walk in late and still go to it. She ended up bringing along two of her roommates (Kristin and Geneil), and Shawn decided he wanted to come, too.

    So the five of us hopped in my car and drove to the theater. My car drives funny with a lot of people in it. It doesn't accelerate nearly as fast. Grr. Anyway... we get to the theater about 10-15 minutes late, but they'll keep selling tickets until the closing credits probably. I jumped ahead and bought four tickets (hey, Shawn can buy his own) for a grand total of $2.

    I didn't end up paying a penny, I said. Merry, being the strong-willed girl that she is, decided that she was going to pay me back. Of course I refused it, because I'm just one of those proper guys that pay for the girl (especially when it's cheap). Doesn't matter if it's a date or not, I still pay. Between the three of them, they somehow collected $2 and Merry stuck it in my pocket (coat pocket... sorry guys). Quick calculations (and reference to the previous mention of the amount I paid) show that the $2 I paid was just refunded to me. I broke my five (never a good idea to break bills, because I spend ones without thinking), but I still have the same amount in my pocket that I left with.

    I need to remember to call Geneil tomorrow to see if she wants to go skating with me tomorrow. I spose that's code for I need to get up the guts to call Geneil tomorrow to see... This will obviously be the last chance I have for the semester, since I leave right after work on thursday. (Day after tomorriow... the date on this entry lies;)). I've actually got a couple things planned that we could do. I juat have to "remember" to ask her.

    Sorry... no witty ending for this entry. I'm tired and I can't think of anything.

    Usually, I save all my textbooks. I figure that I might be able to use them again someday. Especially ones for my major, since I might forget things from freshman year by the time I graduate. Plus, it makes it so that I'll have my own personal library well underway right out of college.

    This semester, on the other hand, I need the money. So I sold back all my books at the bookstore's big buyback. $298. Not bad, considering I usually would just keep the books. I'm not even too worried about maybe needing the books in the future, because as luck would have it, I didn't like a single one of my books this semester.

    The C programming one was decent, but I rarely used it in class, I don't foresee me needing to use it much in the future. Especially since I got 70-something dollars for it. I could buy a book that covers the C language in much greater depth for less than that. I don't really need a programming tutorial, which is what the bulk of this book focused on. I just need to know how to call certain standard library functions.

    Now, don't get me wrong, I learned a lot in this last programming class. I just think I could've learned it myself a lot quicker and a lot cheaper.

    So, I am now $290 less in debt. I took the money straight to the bank to pay off some of my credit card bill. And I pocketed $8. Hey, I gotta have some fun sometime.
