Just checked my pulse, it's still there. Couldn't quite be sure at first. As I staggered down the row to hand in my last final, I felt like I was about to pass out. I did horrible, thanks for asking. It's remotely possible that I might've gotten an 'A' in Math, but not necessarily too likely, unless they curve this final. There was one question that I was almost positive that there wasn't a correct answer for, and another question that the initial conditions for the problem contradicted each other. So... in a word, it sucked. But it's over now, and so I will now proceed to space out in front of a few computer games for the remainder of the evening. I was going to hike the Y this evening (with Ashley, Steph, and Andrew), but it's rather wet and rainy outside, so I don't know if that's still gonna be happening. At any rate, lack of thinking really sounds good right now. The last two days, I bombed three finals (no, seriously), so I'm not really feeling very energetic. But I'm free at last... free at last. Praises be- I didn't kill myself.

So I actually have a reason this time for not updating RandOMnesS: I wasn't online at all. On Sunday night, I unplugged my computer, and vowed to not plug it in until after I finished my math final. Guess what was the first thing I did when I got home from the final... Hey, I had to check what my score was for my math final! And I have two more entries to make, so I figured I'd better get started...

About three weeks ago, my roommate made a joke something to the effect that here at BYU, you're always two weeks away from being engaged, whether you're currently in a relationship or not. At least at the time, it sounded like a pretty funny joke. About a week later, he and one of his female friends started haning out a lot. About a week later, they decided to make it "official" that they were going out. I think that was the same night that he first held her hand. A few days later, he brought us home ice cream (meaning that he kissed her).

Sunday night, he came in extremely late for him (about 2:30 AM). Amazingly, I had gone to bed at about 11:30, because I had a final to study for Monday morning. Anyway, as he came in, I woke up, at least enough to say hello (which isn't very awake for me: I can carry on conversations in my sleep). He told me at that time that he was going to make me a steak dinner. That was about the time that I actually woke up. Steak dinner means engagement. It's amazing how quickly I can be wide awake when I find out that my roommate's engaged. 2 weeks. TWO WEEKS! Yes, he knew the girl before (she was dating his best friend for quite some time; his friend broke up with her about a month ago).

Ring by spring or your money back... Welcome to BYU!

Got a comment from my brother, Jacob (YAY for making comments!!!). He asked if maybe I was just wishing... I guess he wants me to come out and just say it straight. Yes, I kissed Ashley. I posted that entry the morning after I did it. I figured I'd wait and see who all actually reads my website. I knew that there weren't very many regular readers, but I was still surprised that it went for about a week and still none of my family caught on. For all I know, Jacob could still be the only one who read enough to realize. I'll send an email out to my (very short) mailing list of people who want webpage updates, and see if anybody else catches on. If not, oh well. Somebody will tell Dad eventually. Or I'll just buy treat him to Baskin Robbin's when I get back home.
