There's a good reason why there's not a good subject for today's entry. It's because nothing really happened. Woke up at noon... which was good, since I was up late last night. I talked wiht David online about what kind of video card I should get. I'm not happy with the way things are right now, because none of my games are working to my satisfaction. I can hear my mom cheering from here. No, really... My last computer I guess had a decent video card, and the one I have now is just so-so. I mean, it works... it plays (most) movies just fine. It's just that when you start getting high-end graphics running on it, like what I like to do... it's just not as good. See, it'd be fine if I were happy with just having a workable computer. But I really want to come out of this whole computer thing with a sense that I upgraded from the last computer, because otherwise I feel like I wasted a ton of money on the whole system. Josh is convinced that I can fix whatever ails me without buying a video card, but we'll see...

I started transcribing the tapes of Eliza's visit to Grandpa Adelbert. Eliza mumbles a lot. I can pick out almost everything that Grandpa says, but not quite so much her. I'll get as much as I can down, and then send it to her for corrections... One thing's for certain, though... there's no way I'm gonna ever do more than one side of one tape in any given day... it takes quite some time, and it's very hard on the eyes and ears... I'd get a major headache after too long. Estimated time of completion... four to five weeks...

David said that he fixed my subdomain, but he hasn't sent me the info yet on how to get set up on it. So that'll probably be one of next week's projects. I'll transfer everything over, and leave it here as well, for the first couple days... just to make sure that everything's working. Then, I'll put a nice redirect page, and start bugging the heck out of everybody by giving them my new URL every five minutes :D .

Ahhh... symptoms that I should pay more careful attention to Seasonal Affective Disorder...

I walked into my sunday school classroom today, and the window was open. The window happened to face west, and the late afternoon sunlight poured into the room. I took a seat on the west side of the room, by the windows. Suddenly, I felt a little more alive. Not necessarily more awake (I ended up sleeping through the class), but more alive, and more of a real person. For whatever reason, when more people came into the room and class was about to start, a few people wanted the curtains drawn. Such withdrawals overcame me, I insisted on having at least a crack open, right where I was. When I went to Priesthood, I noticed that that room faced to the west as well. I'd never noticed this before, because the heavy curtains are always drawn shut. I stepped behind the curtain, and for a few seconds I lived again. Unfortunately, there was no way I'd be able to open the curtains without everybody getting irritable with me, so I had to leave my safe haven and find a seat. For the next hour, I craved more sunlight-- like a drug addict, ready to do whatever it takes to find the solace found in the next hit. Am I any happier for the experience? No... I'm still in a down mood... but at least now I have a little bit of sunlight to help me out.
