Me: How's it going?
Her: Fantastic!
Me: What makes it so fantastic
Her: (pause to think, then points to her friends) These awesome ladies
Her: How are you doing?
Me: Okay
Her: Just Okay? How can you be just okay when you have your health, your job... (I'll admit, I stopped listening)

I was doing okay by the time I got to FHE. And I was feeling pretty good about that. I was... doing okay! It's gonna be okay. I had a few things I was kind of excited about (got approved for a loan!), I had a few things that I was kinda bummed about (long day at work but I didn't even get to solve any problems or write any code). I had something to look forward to (a date with a cute girl this Thursday), I had some things I wasn't looking forward to (I really need to get my room organized again). But you know what? I was doing okay.

See, that's the problem with you cheerful people. You think that because you're super happy all the time, everybody else should be, too. I was feeling good about feeling okay until I talked to her. Then I started wondering if I should feel bad about feeling okay. And then I wasn't really okay anymore. Okay, so I wouldn't go that far, but it still kind of bothered me.

But really... I'm doing okay :D
