Is one allowed to quote one's self? I was talking with a friend and made the following observation about girls. It seemed worthwhile to share. Y'know, to get feedback from the three or four people that have discovered that I'm starting to write again every once in a while.
You'd think that by their third or fourth year of college, most of the girls would've caught on that part of the reason why everybody hated junior high is because of all the games that got played.

Cause honestly, that's what it amounts to so often.

I'm fully used to rejection... if you aren't interested in going on a second date with me, offer the handshake at the end of the first date and thank me for my time. I'd dare say by the end of most first dates, people know if they'd at least like to go out with the person again.

Please note that I don't pretend to never play the games. I only wish I could go up to a girl and say "You're cute, I think I like you, would you like to hang out and see if you like me too," but that's obviously not going to happen, even if I do feel that way on a regular basis. The unfortunate reality of the situation is that if you don't play at least a little bit defensively, you'll just get rejected from the game entirely.
