To get me off the wall

Okay, so I decided to check out the dance party over at A Richards. I'm sure that I'm going to regret saying this, so everybody better copy and paste the next sentence before I change my mind and delete it. There were too many girls for a proper dance.

There, it was said. Now, let me explain why.

To get me off the wall, you gotta play something other than the typical Rap/R&B mix. It's not that I'm offended by such music, or that I don't appreciate the rhythm, or anything like that. You just can't really *dance* to it. Everybody just stands in a circle bouncing and moving their arms too and fro. Or they completely ignore the music and use the dark room and loud music as an excuse to lose all inhibitions (BYU style). This consists of screaming girls (or guys) waving there arms in the air and acting as idiotic as possible.

Then there's the whole circle thing... I hate it when everybody's standing in a circle just kinda stepping from side to side, or whatever they decide to do to the music. I don't know why, it just drives me crazy.

To get me off the wall, you gotta play something I can *dance* to. Put on a little swing, or something to cha-cha to, or even a foxtrot. Let me dance. Or throw on a slow song, and do the "teacher two-step." I go to dances to dance with the ladies.

Too many ladies, you ask. Well, because it was about 5 girls for every guy, they couldn't play anything but the Rap/R&B. After the bulk of the people left (it really was kind of a lame dance party), we threw on some swing and a few slow songs and danced.

To get me off the wall, let me *dance*.
