Photoshop, or "That's your best picture yet"- : Today I spent some time playing with photoshop. When one of my coworkers saw the cucumbers, he said "That's your best picture yet." Obviously, it's a matter of taste, because this look, while catchy and trendy, is very fake. I am having fun with photoshop, and will probably play with more pictures tomorrow, but I still am undecided how I feel about using photo editting software for more than cropping. For that matter, I don't usually even crop my photos any further. Part of that is because I have so many pictures that it would be a waste of my time to try to make every single one as presentable as possible. On the other hand, it would be good practice, and it would make me look better.

I've very mixed feelings about using photoshop, so please let me know what you think. Obviously, the cucumber picture below is much better than its original, so please don't comment on that. Instead, restrict the commentary to how you feel about using various photoshop techniques to make pictures look more eye-catching. Keep in mind that I am not trying to make graphics for anything, nor am I using these pictures in advertisements. I present my photography as a view through my eyes. I am definitely interested in continuing some work with photoshop as a new artform, but still do not feel that it would be proper to say any one of these is "better" than pictures taken without assistance of software.
